LO expects that the economy will continue to expand in the coming years with a growing labour demand and growing private consumption. The assessment is that the Danish economy and labour market are in good shape. ?These positive circumstances should be used to ensure jobs for everyone?, says LO?s Chief Economist, Allan Lyngsø Madsen.
GDP fell by 0.6 % in the third quarter of 2017 against the second quarter according to the newly published figures from Statistics Denmark. Employment grew by 11,200 persons and unemployment decreased by 700 full-time equivalents in October.
By far the majority of Danish businesses have no problem recruiting workers in Denmark. This is the conclusion of the biannual recruitment study from the Ministry for Employment, which confirms that our most important task in Denmark is to provide employment.
